GPU Day

Research Computing sponsors an annual one-day event to educate students, staff, and faculty on how to use graphics processing units (GPUs) on the new Sol supercomputer. The intent of this event is to inspire and motivate our research community to use Research Computing's supercomputing systems and to showcase the important applications of these powerful resources. This event is open to all ASU researchers, students, and research support staff. Research Computing welcomes and encourages researchers from all disciplines and backgrounds to attend this event.

What are GPUs and how can they help my research?
GPUs are specialized devices that can accelerate computations for research. This acceleration is available for many software applications (such as Python, MATLAB, AlphaFold, Parabricks, and more) and various research methodologies. Join Research Computing and our technical experts to learn how GPUs and the Sol supercomputer can benefit your research.
