The Oasis mounts are available on both Phoenix and Sol supercomputers and are mounted under /data.
NFS access to the system is only available on Phoenix and Sol,
SMB access to the system is available campus-wide or over the Cisco VPN.
To enable SMB access to the data mounts, you will need to reach out to rtshelp@asu.edu and get this configured. The URL for the data mounts is oasis.sol.rc.asu.edu.
Usage Guidelines
Ensure that the data stored complies with our data policy and legal regulations. Oasis does not support storing sensitive data.
Regular backups of critical data are recommended, even though our systems are designed for high reliability.
For SMB access, follow standard security practices to maintain the integrity of your data.
Backup Policies
Snapshots are taken at the array level nightly
Snapshots done on the array are resilient, but not redundant
Data is not copied to a second array by default
Snapshots are kept for a maximum of 2 weeks
All data is kept on-site and is not replicated to secondary storage by default.
