`$HOME`	`/home/$USER`	100GB	Users home space for storing basic files and custom software. Not intended for high-intensity file operations.
`$SCRATCH`	`/scratch/$USER`	100TB	High speed storage for HPC use. Subject to deletion if access time is more than 90 days old.
`$DATA`	`/data/designation`	Based on paid amount	Project based storage available to the supercomputers or to lab workstations.
`$DATA`	`/data/grp_mygrp` or `/data/class_`	100GB	Each Linux group (visible with command `groups` in terminal) granted space for intra-group sharing. Classes similarly have shared space. These directories will not show in up an `ls /data` , but they can be entered nonetheless with `cd /data/grp_mygrp` if you are part of the group member list.
Canyon (Tape Storage)		Based on paid amount	Intended for cold storage/archiving
