What is Sol?

Sol is the most recent addition to ASU’s supercomputing infrastructure and is managed by Research Computing. Sol contains CPU-centric, GPU-centric, and high-memory nodes to accommodate all varieties of workflows.

Sol contains over 15,000 CPU cores including over 240 A100 and 15 A30 GPUs, and 5 high-memory nodes equipped with 2TB of RAM each.

Getting Started with Sol

Using Sol and submitting jobs requires an account with Research Computing. Supercomputing accounts are available to all ASU faculty members, as well as students working under the faculty members. Accounts on the supercomputer use your ASURITE login and password.

How do I Request an Account?

To get started, fill out the Account Request page on the Research Computing website. Once the form is submitted, we'll get your account added and send you an email when it is ready.
