Connecting to the Fortinet VPN



The Fortinet VPN is only available to users with specific requirements.  Users who need to use the Fortinet will be informed by the RC team.

For general access to the supercomputer, please use the ASU Cisco VPN

Download link, Please select the VPN only client https://www.fortinet.com/support/product-downloads

The new SSLVPN portal is up and running for connecting to the FORTINET SSLVPN. The portal address is https://sslvpn.rc.asu.edu:9443

You should be able to login with your ASURITE ID and password to the web portal.

From here you can download the windows or mac client for your machine.

Note: If you get an access denied and you have a new account please visit http://asu.edu/changepassword to reset your password.

Note: When you install the client, pick VPN only for the option. Otherwise you will install the full software suite including the antivirus.





To join the VPN with the client, it’s the same information that’s needed to get to the web portal.

Remote Gateway: sslvpn.rc.asu.edu

Customize port: 9443

ASURITE ID:

Hit apply and close



Hit Close, and then Connect. Provide your ASURITE ID and password and you should see the connection successful in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.



 

If you are unable to install the Fortinet VPN client on your PC, you may want to use the web interface instead.

You can access the web interface by browsing to https://206.207.50.254:9443

From here you will see this screen

 

After logging in, you will see a list of available choices for connecting to different applications by browsing to the “Quick Connection”

 

Clicking on “Quick Connection” will allow you to access different systems. and pages available on the VPN. These will open in your browser, which will not be as performant but will still get you access to the systems.
