Additional Help

If you require further assistance on this topic, please don't hesitate to contact the Research Computing Team. To create a support ticket, kindly send an email to rtshelp@asu.edu. For quick inquiries, you're welcome to reach out via our #rc-support Slack Channel or attend our office hours for live assistance

We also offer a series of workshops. More information here: Educational Opportunities and Workshops ASU Research Computing (ASURC) will support faculty-purchased vendor hardware within the supercomputers, including supplying rack space, power, cooling, and networking. Faculty can purchase from the Dell pre-approved compute nodes. These nodes are created into a private partition on the supercomputer that is available to the faculty member and supporting group.

Idle private partitions will be open to use by the ASU community.  Jobs submitted to private partitions will be guaranteed to run without preemption for at least 4 hours.

ASURC will support faculty-purchased hardware for as long as feasible; however, beyond the warranty period of the hardware, the faculty is responsible for any hardware and labor costs necessary to maintain the hardware. If Research Computing deems that it is not technically feasible to support hardware beyond the warranty period, it will be removed from the supercomputer.

Additional Information

  • All systems have been tailored to integrate into the supercomputers seamlessly

  • All quotes will have a 5-year warranty for support of the server hardware

  • Research Computing will provide the quote(s) but does not purchase the servers

  • Customized configuration options can be done on a case by case basis

  • Tax information: https://cfo.asu.edu/tax-information
